Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

Train services in the Hanover rail hub have been severely disrupted since 19.05.2026, with increased disruptions (switch failures) and addtitional diversions with significantly reduced speeds due to overlapping diversionary services between Hamburg and Hanover and Hamburg and Berlin.
Trains have been taken out of service due to exceeding their duty time limits.
Uelzen – Stendal line has been closed due to construction work.
A derailment has occured at Hansaport, Hamburg.
Terminal CTA is currently inaccessible by rail. Train and shunting operations have been impossible since 26.05.2026, 07:30 a.m.
We currently have no forecast for when the disruption will be resolved.
Hamburg, approach control active.
Bremerhaven, approach control active.
As a consequence, continued delays are to be expected, and train cancellations cannot be ruled out.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.
