Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

Due to high volume of traffic caused by the 1st May holiday, the port infrastructure in Hamburg is operating at full capacity.
Hamburg approach control is active.
Bremerhaven approach control is active.
Hamburg, Terminal CTA, handling backlog of approx. 9 hours.
Hamburg, Terminal Burchardkai, handling backlog of approx. 6 hours.
Due to switch failure (power outage) on Sunday evening, 03.05.2026, shunting operations at Burchardkai were not possible.
The situation in Hamburg is expected to remain very tense in the coming days.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.
