Adjustment of the fuel surcharge due to rising energy costs

The current geopolitical developments in the Middle East continue to cause considerable uncertainty on the international energy markets. In recent weeks, fuel prices have risen noticeably and are increasingly having an impact on European road freight transport.

Despite ongoing internal efficiency measures, these additional costs cannot currently be fully compensated. Therefore, we have to adjust our fuel surcharge for truck transports via Austria. As usual, you can find an overview of the current valid fuel surcharges on our website. The surcharges published there apply to all loading and unloading from 10.03.2026 until further notice.

For truck transports to neighboring countries in local and long-distance transport, we sometimes work together with regional partner carriers. The fuel surcharges that apply there can vary depending on the market and provider, In theses cases, we will pass on the corresponding surcharges and show them transparently in our offers or statements.

In addition, we are also adapting our seaport transfers in Hamburg and Bremerhaven. Due to the increase in fuel costs, we are adjusting the transport prices by EUR 5,– per container. For veterinary or CPA transfers, we charge a surcharge of EUR 10,– per container. These adjustments also apply immediately and until revoked. If comparable cost-related adjustments are made at other seaports (e.g. Rotterdam), these will also be passed on accordingly- as is customary in the industriy.

We continue to monitor developments on the energy and transport markets very closely and will review and adjust the surcharges accordingly if the market situation eases or worsens further.
