Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

The overall situation in rail traffic remains very strained.
Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) approach control has been active again since 31.01.2026, 09:00 a.m.
Hamburg, Terminal CTA, handling backlog of approx. 16 hours.
Hamburg, Terminal Burchardkai, handling backlog of approx. 9 hours.
DB InfraGO rail network and seaport terminals continue to operate at capacity limits. additional terminal slots or special slots are currently unavailable.
As a result, further delays are to be expected, short-notice train changes or cancellations cannot be ruled out.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.
