Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

The overall situation on rail traffic remains tense.
Parked trains on the DB InfraGO network, in border regions, and at German hinterland terminals are causing arrival delays for export trains, and consequently, resource shortages and delays in import hinterland traffic.
Hamburg port Authority (HPA) track capacity is limited, shunting operations are very complex.
Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) approach control system remains active.
Hamburg, Terminal CTA, processing backlog of approx. 19 hours.
Renewed snow and icy conditions in Hamburg and ports of Germany are further complicating the situation.
From today’s perspective, free capacity for new export bookings will be available from week 6.
As a result, continued delays are to be expected, short-notice train changes or cancellations cannot be ruled out.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.
