Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

The situation in Hamburg remains very tense due to the weather.
Hamburg, Terminal Burchardkai reports that due to snowfall and extreme icy conditions, rail handling has been suspended. Prior to this, the backlog was approx. 40 hours.
Operations at the other Hamburg terminals are severely restricted.
Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) inbound traffic control remains active.
Roads in the port are not cleared, truck rerouting within Hamburg is currently not possible.
According to current weather forecast, the situation will worsen further by tomorrow due to storms combined with fresh snowfall.
As a consequence, significant delays and train cancellations are still to be to be expected.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.
