Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

The Passau border crossing will be closed on short notice, during the last total closure of the Vilshofen train station during the reconstruction work, severe damage was discovered on 3 switches, which must be replaced immediately.
The construction work will last from Friday, 21.06.2024, 11:40 p.m. to Monday, 24.06.2024, 06:00 a.m.
Diversions via Salzburg and partial single-track traffic on the Vilshofen -Passau route are planned.
due to the effects of the strike on 17.06.2024, there is still heavy backlog of trains, on 18.06.2024, 7:00 p.m. dispositive flow control was introduced.
Current processing backlogs at the terminals:
Hamburg, Terminal CTA at approx. 5 hours
Hamburg, Terminal EKOM at approx. 10 hours
Hamburg, Terminal Burchardkai at approx. 6 hours
Bremerhaven, Terminal Eurogate at approx. 24 hours
Bremerhaven, Terminal NTB at approx. 10 hours
Hamburg, Terminal CTA has announced a staff Meeting on Thursday, 20.06.2024, from 2:30 p.m. to 06:00 p.m.
As a result, delays are to be expected, train cancellations cannot be ruled out.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.
