48 hours warning strike announced in German Seaports

13. July 2022 | Operative Infos

Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

  • We have been informed that further warning strikes have been announced in the north German seaports from 14.07.2022, early morning. The duration is announced for 48 hours, the end will be communicated as 16.07.2022, early morning.
  • Planned export trains from Austria to Germany will be skipped 13.07.2022.
  • The reason for the warning strike is the repeatedly unsuccessful collective bargaining between the service union ver.di and the Central Association of German Seaport Companies (ZDS).
  • The operational effects are currently not foreseeable, it remains to be seen how many people will follow this warning strike.
  • Massive operational effects are to be expected, the backlog will be considerable even after the end of the warning strike, and train cancellations and delays are to be expected.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.

As a precaution, we would like to point out that ROLAND Spedition accepts no liability for costs resulting from these events. Your contact person will be happy to answer any questions you may have about your transports.
