Update restrictions on rail traffic – Hamburg Terminals

Update restrictions on rail traffic – Hamburg Terminals
We would like to inform you of the following developments regarding the current situation in the Hamburg terminals:

Terminal CTA has decided based on short-term ship delays with maximum terminal and resource utilization to restrict the acceptance of export containers; this situation will continue over the holidays as there are currently no signs of relaxation. Individual shipowners have already decided to change the terminal calls from CTA to Terminal Burchardkai at short notice.

At Terminal Eurokombi, the average delay in slot handling is currently 12 to 14 hours. The step space situation and the availability of equipment at the sea terminal are still tense and no forecast can currently be given for further developments.

Roland Spedition’s trains are also heavily affected by these massive restrictions and changes, the planned departure on December 22nd, 2020 ex Enns to Hamburg CTA had to be canceled, the containers will be rebooked at the next available option.

We expect the situation to remain very tense for weeks 53 and 1.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.

As a precaution, we would like to point out that ROLAND Spedition accepts no liability for costs resulting from these events.

Your contact person will be happy to answer any questions you may have about your transports.
